The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 11 reveals Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will ask Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) if she can trust Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Also coming up, Kyle and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will celebrate Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) decision. And Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will return to Genoa City with news for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Y&R spoilers tease Holden will spot Claire at Crimson Lights and ask how her father’s doing. “He passed away,” she’ll reply. Holden will tell her he’s sorry. Claire will say she likes to think Kyle senses she needs him and will realize he should come home.
But Holden will say he’s there for her. He also understands, as he lost his father to cancer a few years back. Claire will talk about how she was just getting to know her dad. She’ll add she was going to go to work, thinking it would be a distraction.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Adam Surprises Holden By Offering Him a Job
“How about you join me for breakfast, I’ll be your distraction,” Holden will reply. “What do you say?” Claire will turn him down and he’ll ask if he can put his contact in her phone, in case she needs to talk. Then she’ll change her mind about going for breakfast.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be surprised that Adam’s already home. They’ll end up at Society and Adam will say it was a brutal trip. He’ll ask what the latest is on Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). “He didn’t make it,” Chelsea will reply.
Adam will say Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) must have sensed it. “I feel awful, I told everybody in Nice that they transferred him back to Genoa City,” he’ll add. “I gave them false hope.”
Talk will turn to Aristotle Dumas and Adam will tell Chelsea it’s Cane. He’ll add he must have a point person in Genoa City, so they need to figure out who it is. Then Holden and Claire will walk in. “I think I know who that is,” Chelsea will tell Adam.
She’ll say Holden approached her when he was out of town. “Before I saw Cane the two of them were huddled together in a serious conversation. If Cane has a spy in Genoa City, my money’s on Holden.” So, they’ll get up from their table and Chelsea will say hello to them.
Adam will tell Claire he’s sorry about Cole and plans to visit her mother later. He’ll introduce himself to Holden and grill him about Dumas. Holden will say he never met the man. Adam will ask what he’ll will do for work now and Holden will be surprised when he suggests there may be something for him at Newman Media. After they walk away, Chelsea will smile. “Well played,” she’ll say to Adam.
Claire and Holden will sit down and she’ll say she misses Kyle. Holden will say it’s too bad he’s all the way in France. “It’s not just that he’s there, it’s that he’s there with Audra,” she’ll reply. “Should I be worried?”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Tells Them They’re Entertaining
In France, Kyle and Audra will continue to discuss their perfume war. “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?” he’ll ask. And she’ll say of course she’s wearing her perfume. Kyle will move closer to take a whiff of her neck.
Cane will come along and they’ll move apart quickly. Kyle will say they’re just working. “You owe me no explanation,” he’ll reply. “But I was under the impression you were both romantically involved with other people, was I wrong about that?”
Audra will say their relationship is entirely professional. Cane will say he and Kyle go way back but he doesn’t know Audra. But he assumes she’s no slouch, since she secured an invite to France. “You must be a woman of many talents,” he’ll tell her.
Cane will say he’s curious about their professional connection and ask how it works. “I am determined to find out what you really like in a woman,” Audra will reply. Cane will ask Kyle why he would cozy up to the competition and even give Audra a chance.
“Which is why I can’t shake the feeling there’s something more between the two of you.” Then Kyle and Audra will get into an argument, trading barbs with each other. Cane will tell them it was very entertaining and he’ll offer to help them with their soap battle.
“Each of you leave me a sample and we’ll take it from there,” Cane will say. They’ll high five each other and Kyle will walk Audra back to her room. Once they arrive she’ll invite him inside to celebrate with a drink.
Finally, Audra will pour them champagne and Kyle will ask what they should toast to. “To getting what we want,” Audra will reply, moving in very close. “Everything we want.” But will Kyle cross the line with Audra?
